At AQMetrics we have a highly skilled, experienced and diverse workforce with wide ranging backgrounds. Today, we introduce you to Ireland-based Lead Front End Engineer, Michal Mizgala.
Describe your job in three words:
Fun, fulfilling and fascinating.
What are you working on right now?
Currently I’m working on enhancing product security and introducing two factor authentication. We’re also building tools to help our Customer Success team.
What does a typical day look like?
My typical day starts with questions: what I want to achieve today? what I have left to do from the day before? Then I’ll organise a meeting with the frontend team. This is helpful to find out what other team members have been working on, if there are any bottlenecks for them, how can we help each other etc. Throughout the day I will work on the developer tasks, making sure that the QA team has the latest builds available to test and coordinate the work between QA and developing teams.
How has your background helped with your role in AQMetrics?
Before AQMetrics, I worked in a big company with a large IT department for over 5 years. That was a good experience, and the experience could be used at the beginning of our journey at AQMetrics, especially in terms of setting up the developer processes, picking the tools and technologies etc.
Best thing about working in AQMetrics?
Working for a small, focussed development team affords me the opportunity to take true ownership of a task, from design and planning to development and testing. It’s a great opportunity to expand my knowledge base.
What websites do you visit the most?
